What is the HelpDesk and how does it work?

The iTOK HelpDesk is a tiny utility application that facilitates remote help and maintenance of your computer. Access to the HelpDesk comes by clicking the icon in your computer’s Task Bar.

The HelpDesk allows you to receive priority service. Questions and requests for service are quickly and easily submitted to your iTOK Technician.

The HelpDesk also allows you to manage your PC Care services, and review your account information.

What operating systems will the HelpDesk run on?

The HelpDesk runs best on Windows XP, Windows 2000 or Windows Vista (desktops or laptops).

Unfortunately, the HelpDesk currently does not run on a Mac, but a Mac version is in our future roadmap.

How can I find the HelpDesk icon?

The HelpDesk icon should be located in your System Tray, which is at the bottom right of your screen by default.

Simply double-click the icon to open the HelpDesk.

If for any reason your HelpDesk icon is not visible, you can re-open the HelpDesk by going to the Start Menu and selecting:

All Programs > iTOK HelpDesk > Launch iTOK HelpDesk.

The HelpDesk icon should then be visible in the system tray.

How do I re-install the HelpDesk?

You can download the HelpDesk at any time from our Download page.

Simply follow the instructions to download and run the installer.

If you have previously installed the HelpDesk on your computer, you should be logged in automatically.

If this is a new computer, or your login details have been lost (such as in a system format), then you will be asked for your username and password. Click the "Existing User" radio button, and enter your username and password.
